Nail Painting Technique

I should have shared this with you ages ago! When I was on my way back from Dallas for the Superbowl weekend (I know right!?) I had a 7 hour layover in Seattle UGHHH. So perfect opportunity for a manicure at Butter London. Now I am not a huge fan of manicures just because I cannot stand to have the same polish on for more than a day, two is pushing it. But when I spend a chunk of change to get my nails done, to make it worth it I feel as though I should keep it on for a long time, right? But I would not particularly recommend Butter London just because they do a dry manicure, which boils down to its really only a polish change but their are going to charge you for a manicure. Sure, fine, whatever I am on vacay! Anyway, to the point, the manicurist did the weirdest thing I have ever seen. New Couch

So, this is my new couch. I absolutely LOOOOOOVE it. Its a microfibre and a light marigold yellow. Its like a wierd modern, retro mix. But I love and it is soooo comfy. For real, I have been on it all day ;). I spent a lot of time and stress on trying to find the perfect couch on my teeny tiny budget. I never win anything, so I was super stoked when the organization Downtown Calgary tweeted me to say I had won tickets to a charity event to raise money for Calgary Womens Foundation.  That charity event was Styling Your Life with special guest Clinton Kelly from TLC's What Not To Wear. I had grown up watching this show and at the risk of sound cliche, seriously have taken some life long lessons from it. I won't go over in detail what he talked about, because there are a few blogs that have already done that. Basically he reiterated the themes you see in What Not To Wear: Be the best version of yourself and make an investment in yourself. What I will talk about it how excited I am that Calgary is really trying to become a cultured, and in turn fashionable destination. While some nailed it on Saturday, others were meh and made me less self conscious about my outfit (I know I am terrible for comparing myself).  Our amateur status has definitely left the building. I cannot
