Hey girlies. I love the holidays because you get to dress up and go to parties! (Among other things, of course). Here are some of my ideas for great holiday party hair. I am still loving the bun! You could put a sparkly or embellished headband with this one. Here is my adaptation Or a low side one is always cute. Hey ladies! As a new grad I had to take out one of my loves from my budget: getting my hair professionally done. It as a sad day, but sometimes us girls have to be resourceful. But my bad luck happens to be your good luck, because now I know the great box colour brands and the not so great. Lets start with Loreal's Preference. Love, Love, Love this product. It goes a long way, but I still needed two boxes. It is still thick enough that it does not splash or goop all over. It stays. And does not smell as bad as the others. My second choice is Gosh. It has all the same great qualities as Loreal, but the colour did not come out as what I wanted or what was on the box. It may have been that I used to to try a botched job from the day before. So I won't let that stop me from using this product again. Brands I did not like:  Product did not go far enough Colour faded really fast  The brush thing was a bit much. A lot of these are no brainers, some are very similar and some seem odd. But I will give each a try and maybe they will lead to our own creations?

Love Konad stamps! Essie's Fiji under and the Konad purple colour on top! I LOVE this one. This colour is not mine, so I cannot remember the name, it is OPI. Essie's Fiji on the bottom again. Stamp colour is OPI's Barefoot in Barcelona. For more fun and sparkle I added spots of glitter with Nail Art. This is  a Joe Fresh colour!  It is a no namer though so just look for the only sparkly brown. 

I am so excited! I like Nicki, not in love with her, but these colours are fab. Super Bass Shatter, Metallic 4 Life, Save Me, Fly, Did it on em and Pink Friday I especially love the sparkly colours! OPI's crackle SUCKS, do not buy it. I used mine twice and the third time it was SO goopy and gross. My other nail polish obsessed friends concur.

InStyle just tweeted a link to the 71 hottest celebrity hair makeovers, so of course I looked at at least 30 and decided it was time for me to shake things up again. As a new grad my budget is strained, so I was thinking the easiest way to deal with my hair is to go back to its natural colour. This is not an easy task when I have died it fairly dark and I would rather not go through the whole bleaching process again. I have wanted hair extensions for a while, so I think this would be a great excuse to get them! If you have any tips or tricks to get this look, feel free to share!

Maybe because my ass is to big too big to be in them. Sally Hanson's Insta-Dry in Jade Pump. I just bought this and do not like the formula. It went on weird and seemed to dry kind of  mushy, if that makes sense. Accent nail was first covered with OPI's Simply Smashing then two coats of OPI's Sparkle-icious. Then the bottom has white and blue rhinestone gems. So fun! Two coast of Essie's Watermelon- great colour, love it for both finger and toe nails. Then took my art deco polish and made the swirly designs. There is rhinestones in the corner. Not very visible in these pictures.

Hey Guys!  I had nothing to do today, so I stepped up my polish game! This was SO easy. First I did the pink, just verticle stripes alone the whites of your nails. 2 coats of Ardene's nail polish, its so cheap it doesn't even have a name. After it was completely dry I used Art Deco nail polish to draw the black line. Then added a little sparkle. This stuff is great. Its brush is super skinny so you can draw straight lines or do some art. I got it at Wal-mart or somewhere equally as cheap. I just wish the brush was short so you could have a little more control over it. I bought it a while ago but never really used it until now! Now I am hooked and can't wait to try something new.

Actually, I am wearing her dress in my profile picture. That was my first one! What can I say its a classy, toned down version of all the trends, yet funky. I bought a fur vest- yes super on trend, but I didn't feel to out there because the fur was thin and faux of course. I cannot encourage you enough to seek out the top eyebrow specialist in your city and book an appointment. Yes, it is going to be expensive. Yes, it is going to be more than what you want to or would usually spend on your seemingly insignificant eyebrows. But it will be worth it, have trust. Your eyebrows are what shape your face. They are the changeable foundation. You can't substantially change  your acne, skin tone, big pores or what have you. But you can make a slight change to this part of your foundation. You want the best, you gotta pay for the best. I found The Brow Studio, located in Quorra locations on 17th and in Bankers Hall here in Calgary. Went a few times, looooved the results and brought back everyone I know. They too sang the praises of this face changing experience. I read magazines religiously, I knew what made a good brow and had some nice ones myself. Now I have amazing eyebrows. I went a few times and once we had found the best shape and everything was

  I tried threading on my eyebrows a few years ago and my eyes watered sooooo bad that I was to embarrassed to ever go back. Plus there were no places close to my house. I'm not one for exerting effort. Plus I found an amazing eye brow artist (I'll blog about that later) so I have no need to thread my brows. I have been using this product off and on for years! My mom introduced it to me probably when I first started painting my nails, then stopped doing them, then moved out and forgot about this great product. But for the past 3 years I have been a hardcore fanatic. I paint my nails almost everyday, and you can bet that this nail hardener is the first thing I put on. I have converted so many friends to it and they now swear by it. It does go on clear, do not let the murky colour fool you.

Confession: I have a not so secret obsession with the Kardashians. Khloe is my favourite. So I was super stoked with I heard they were coming out with a nail polish line with Nicole by O.P.I. Look at the one called Khloe had a little Lam-Lam. How cute! I know I am a grown educated woman, but let me have my fun!
