Chi Silk Infusion

Image
Ladies! I have recommended this product before, but I must give it the proper post it deserves, plus I found a new use for it- the face! No joke. This stuff is amazing.   It is a kind of oil that is lightweight, does not clog or look greasy. It is perfection. Of course I put it on around 10-20 minutes before I put on any makeup. But it soaks up fairly quickly so there has been no change in my makeup application or staying power. (I of course use a primer, but we all should regardless of face regime). I guess I shouldn’t toot its horn too much. In regards to acne, I have found no change, some here and there but nothing out of the ordinary or due to the silk infusion. So it isn’t a total miracle worker. Just super moisturizing, while feeling and smelling fabulous. As for hair, I put it on when damp and on dry hair every day until I wash it again (also mentioned before this can be 5-7 days) and my hair does not look greasy! I love putting it on curls so they are shi...

Anti Spring Nails

Image
No, no, we love spring. Just not rules when it comes to our nails. I always see nail 'trend' articles or headlines like "perfect winter hues" and a lot of time disagree or just don't follow them! Nail polish is supposed to be fun and carefree. I paint my nails whatever colour I feel like at that moment. Sometimes with an outfit in mind, others the outfit inspires by the nails or I see someone wearing a colour I like. So here are my I will paint my nails "spring" colours whenever I want, nails. A Little Sparkle

Image
I love this look because it takes the edge of a sparkley mani. So first I put on the green sparkly polish, then 2 coats of the nude colour. Just diagonal strokes, then smooth it out with vertical strokes. Then of course leave an accent nail if you would like. Base: Simply Smashing Nude Now

Revlon Matte Lipstick

I may be late on this train, but I figure you guys will appreciate me anyway. I began an obsession with matte lipsticks a little while ago, after I had become even more obsessed with lipsticks of all shades and colours. Well, lipsticks in general, I had always been a lip gloss kind of gal until fairly recently. Guess I am growing up. Matte I feel is a showstopper, mainly because it is so unexpected. Everyone is so used to gloss then BAM no gloss -- just a punch of colour. Yes matte lipstick is like a literal punch of colour. With my expensive taste I decided on Nars Pure Matte Lipstick in Carthage.  Why so bright you ask? I love lips now and want to make them the focal point. Sadly, I am still only working part time so I could not justify the $32 price tag of my Nars friend. So I googled drug store brands and found great reviews on Revlon's matte lipstick. Off to Shoppers I went, talked to the cosmetics lady for a bit and after she so graciously answered my burning ques...

Just Bitten Revlon Lip Stain review

Image
I tried Cover Girl's lip stain first, and liked it. But then my mom got me Revlon's for Christmas and realized how "OK" it was. Revlon's is fantastic! You put the stain on, wait for 30 seconds then turn it around and there is a balm on the other end you can put on. Of course I put the balm on and love it. I got a darker colour than I usually choose for my lip glosses because it stays on for longer so I don't have to keep touching it up. It is really great for those lazy days I seem to be having more and more of. I put on minimal makeup then just apply this beauty and walk out the door! And of course it leaves me looking like Jessica. Ps. I just noticed that was a dude on the right hand side. I thought it was her reflection their hair is so damn similar. pps. I am not a Ms. Beil fan.
